Puerto Rican-born flautist Néstor Torres is widely regarded as a living legend of the instrument. Classically trained at Berklee College of Music, the Mannes School in New York City, and the New England Conservatory in Boston, Torres brings technical mastery and emotional depth to every performance.

His Grammy-nominated career spans over 18 solo recordings and includes a Latin GRAMMY ® Award, four Latin GRAMMY® nominations, and performances with the New World, Cleveland, and Singapore Symphony Orchestras. He has collaborated with global icons such as Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Tito Puente, Gloria Estefan, Kenny Loggins, Dave Matthews, Paquito D’Rivera, and Arturo Sandoval.

Torres’ sound is a dynamic fusion of Latin Jazz, Smooth Jazz, Charanga, Pop, and classical styles—described as “an exotic mix of American, Brazilian, and Afro-Cuban jazz.” He holds honorary doctorates from Barry University and Carlos Albizu University, recognizing his lifelong dedication to education, youth, and cultural exchange.
